Lolita's story

Mrs. Lolita T. owns and operates a business selling a variety of food products in her community. She is also a BHW (Barangay Health Worker) in her village, paid an honorarium of 1,000 monthly. She is 57 years old, married and blessed with six grown-up children. She is from the village of Ospital, Aloran. Lolita earns a monthly net income of 5,000 from her business and extra income.

In 2000, Lolita joined PMPC to access the programs and services of the coop. She's availing a new loan of 50,000 which will be used for additional capital for her sari-sari store and for housing renovation.

About PMPC:
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) is one of the most progressive cooperatives in northwestern Mindanao. It reaches out to the rural poor using the Grameen model.
