Norma Justina's story

Norma Justina A. Montalván is a 72-year-old widow with 7 adult children, five of whom live independently and two who still live with her; three grandchildren live with her also. Norma has had a grocery store for over 20 years that has made it possible for her to raise her children.

After all this time running her store, she is well-known in the neighborhood and her store is quite popular. Norma has had two previous Kiva loans and repaid both on time. She thanks all the lenders who have trusted her and provided the past loans.

She is asking for funding to buy the following:

3 quintales (weight measure equivalent to 46 kilos) of American rice at US45 each, 80 pounds of chicken at US1.40 each, 60 pounds of beef at US1.50 each, 3 quintales of beans at US45 each, 2 large jugs of cooking oil at US30 each, 2 quintales of sugar at US35 each, 25 sacks of charcoal at US3 each and 3 quintales of flour at US41 each.
