A loan of $600 helped to purchase sewing materials.

Erdenebileg's story

Erdenebileg is 45 years old and lives with her husband and three children in Baynhongor province, Mongolia. She and her family live together in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic housing tent. Erdenebileg operates a sewing business in her town. She started her business by herself in 2000 after operating a small cafe for the previous 10 years.

She has worked hard over the years to gain experience and build a loyal customer base. In 2005, she began operating a sewing workshop with three other sewers. Her business is very important to her and she attributes her success to her good communication skills. Erdenebileg is optimistic about the future and says, "I would like to expand my sewing workshop into a company in the future." She is requesting an 800,000 tugrug (~ 590 USD) loan to purchase more materials and fabrics for her sewing business.
