A loan helped to construct additional classrooms and also purchase furniture.

Fehmida's story

Fehmida is a 49-year-old woman who established a low cost private school in a marginalized community. The aim of the school is to create high standard learning experiences to help students prepare for a better future.

At present, she is planning to construct additional classrooms on vacant space available in the school. However, Fehmida lacks the money needed for construction. She has therefore requested a loan of PKR 140,000 to construct the additional classrooms and also purchase furniture.

This loan is special because:

It helps low-income schools provide quality education in Pakistan's urban slums.
