A loan helped to buy more stock for her business.

Bridget's story

Bridget is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in Chienge district in Zambia. She sells ladies’ shoes and dresses. Bridget is requesting a Kiva loan to expand and grow her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to help her mother and support her siblings’ basic needs.

Bridget will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 3 hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.

This loan is special because:

It is a 0% interest loan for young women with new businesses.
