A loan helped to buy 15 sheep and complete feed and to save money to pay for his children's school fees.

Koudougou Joel's story

Koudougou Joel is the father of five children, four of whom attend school. He has been raising small ruminants for more than twenty years in a suburban neighbourhood. He is on his third loan cycle with the microfinance institution Yikri and he repaid his first Kiva loan without difficulty.

He is seeking another loan to buy 15 sheep and complete feed to raise them properly to later sell them at the appropriate time. He plans to use the profits to reinvest in his operation and to save money to pay for his children's school fees.

Finally, he thanks and wishes Yikri, Kiva and lenders a happy new year.
