A loan helped to purchase silk thread and fabric-lining thread, cable eye stiffeners (also called "thimbles"), and other accessories for hammock production.

Nicomedes's story

Nicomedes has decided to apply for a new credit in order to have working capital that he will use to strengthen his hammock-making business. The credit he receives will help to purchase silk and fabric-lining thread, cable eye stiffeners, and other accessories for making hammocks. He will also be able to pay for the labor of the helpers he has in his agave fiber-weaving business.

The previous credits have been of great help to Nicomedes since he makes a living through his business, and his business generates income for maintaining his family. The nuclear family hasn't changed, but they have better living conditions and they haven't had health problems.
