A loan helped to purchase fruits and vegetables.

Sonia Ximena's story

Sonia is a single mother, 32 years old. She is fighting for a better future for her three children. She lives in a rented house and her source of income is the sale of fruits and vegetables. She does this retail in the market and also delivers to other merchants. Her business is successful but there is a problem that Sonia picks up the products on credit which does not allow her to work efficiently since the wholesalers give priority to people who make cash payments.

For this, Sonia asks Kiva, through Banco Vision Fund Ecuador, for a loan of 1500 dollars which will be of great help for her business, since she will be able to get better products at a lower price. In this way, she will be able to continue strengthening her sales to be able to support her children.

Sonia has as a goal to be able to purchase a larger truck in the future and to be able to go to purchase the fruit directly from the producer.
