A loan helped to buy goods and groceries for his grocery store.

Aouni's story

Aouni, pictured in the photo, is 21 years old. He lives with his family in Tulkarem City. The situation in Tulkarem is very financially and psychologically stressful. Sometimes Aouni works in construction, but at other times, he has no work.

Because his income sources are very unstable, he was encouraged to open a grocery store three years ago.

Currently, he owns a mini-market in his hometown. He took a $3,000 loan from FATEN to buy goods and groceries for his grocery store. This loan has given him the opportunity to expand his business, increase the quantity and quality of the goods for sale, and raise his income.

Aouni hopes he will be able to expand his business and stop working in construction for good. He also hopes to expand his business enough so his brother can work with him, too.

This loan is special because:

It benefits refugees who have been marginalized
