A loan helped a member to purchase the ACE 1 energy system.

Jomane Group's story

Matokelo is 49 years old and lives in a multi bedroom house with 6 other family members including 5 children but without access to electricity. Matokelo relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas which costs up to LSL 287 per month. She also spends as much as 6 hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Matokelo and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
