Alma Doris's story

Alma Doris C. D. A. is 46 years old. She lives in Soyapango, located in the district of San Salvador. She lives together with her spouse, who works as an employee for a private company. She also lives with her two children, ages 14 and 4, who are in school, and with her mother, who does the housework and helps her care for the children. Alma owns a street stand for fried plantains and yuca, which are prepared with lime, chili, and salt. This business is mobile, requiring that she work jointly with a fair which moves from village to village, in which the patron saint festivals of the region are celebrated. Alma is requesting a loan through which she can buy a larger quantity of yuca and plantains, as well as buy oil to fry them and all of the seasonings she needs. Alma has maD. a living in this way for many years, and it is for that that she wishes to be able to invest a little more in the business and so increase her sales.
