Creciendo En Fe 1,2 Group's story

Maria is the coordinator of her group, Creciendo en Fe. Her story is representative of her group and of Esperanza's Haitian and Dominican clients, many of whom recently emigrated to the DR from Haiti. Her group is located in the slums north of Santo Domingo, an area where crime is rampant and where running water (none of which is potable) and electricity are unreliable. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her long-term partner and their child.

Maria is excited to be taking her fourth loan with Esperanza, a Kiva partner, after having successfully repaid her previous loans and grown her business. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business running a pharmacy by purchasing medicines for colds, fever and diarrhea. She will use the profits to save toward her long-term goal of purchasing her own home. She thanks you all for your support.

In this group: Maria, Cristina, Amanda, Genova, Ilcia, Eusebia, Yinabeth, Mercedes, Dilenny, Felicia
