Surmo's story

Meet Surmo, 49 years old. She is a married mother with 5 children, all of her children are stay in school and live at home. Surmo husband works as a teacher to earn extra income. She deals in a business selling slippers, soap and spray. She faces no problems with her business. Surmo sells 6 days a week. She stated to sell with her own earnings and learned this trade from her mother. She applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia and KIVA Field Partner. The loan will be used to buy more slippers, soap and spray to sell. This will enable her to meet her customer’s demand and increase her net income. She likes her business because sales are fast. In the future, she wants to build her house. She wishes to say thanks to all lenders around the world.
