Carolyne's Group's story

Carolyne is 32 years old and has 4 children. She has been a farmer for 14 years and is always said to be a very trustworthy person. Even though Carolyne is the only one featured in the above picture, she is representing her group formed by 10 farmers in Kakamega B (North) District, Kenya.

Carolyne started working alongside One Acre Fund in 2012. She decided to do so because she wanted to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods. Since then, she has seen her life improve; especially in the sense that she has had more profits from each harvest ever since. This year she decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers.

Carolyne’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 3.25 acres of land. Additionally, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light. With this loan, the group will also receive a total of 2 solar lights.

In this group: Carolyne, Lilian, Catherine, Nancy, Rebecca O, Jacklyne, Abili, Wakio, Grace, John

This loan is special because:
