Mayolita's story

Mayolita C. is from the village of Union Kalinga, Luna, Isabela. She is 39 years old. Mayolita is married. To earn a living, Mayolita owns and operates a business venture in the food sector operating a specialized retail store. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling frozen chickens in the local community. Mayolita has been engaged in her business for over 20 years and earns approximately 12,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2006, Mayolita joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Mayolita is requesting a new loan of 40,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase new items to expand her product offerings. This loan will be the eighth loan taken out by Mayolita from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve and expand her business.
