A loan of $725 helped to purchase feed for improving the production of her milk-producing livestock.

Carolina's story

Carolina is a 66-year old mother with a family, who lives together with her husband in the small central village Lives, in the district of Unión Agua Blanca, a district located in the mountainous region of the San Miguel province, in the region Cajamarca. It is located four and a half hours from the city of Chiclayo, capital of the Lambayeque region.

Like the majority of residents of this place, Carolina and her husband do agricultural activities and livestock farming to survive. Thanks to this income, they have been able to get ahead and raise their children who now have their own families. Currently in the region they harvest diverse products such as corn, potatoes, wheat, and quinoa, among others.

Additionally, they also raise cows from which they extract the milk to then sell and make their daily income, since agriculture is an activity that doesn't offer them stable income. Carolina wishes to improve the production of her milk-producing livestock and for this she is thinking about acquiring feed. As she doesn't have sufficient resources to do so, she sees it necessary for the first time to request from Edpyme Alternativa a loan of 2,000 new soles.

Carolina is a hard-working woman and has always watched over the progress of her family. She is very dear to the people who know her, and they consider her a responsible women with confidence.
