A loan helped a member to buy second-hand clothing at wholesale.

Linda Vema Group's story

Charlotte, who is dressed in yellow in the photo, is a client with the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the "Linda Vema" group. She is 51 years old and single.

Charlotte sells second-hand clothing. She started this business in 2000 with start-up funds she received from AGR at the time. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to evolve.

With this new loan, Charlotte is going to increase her initial capital and buy second-hand clothing at wholesale. One challenge her business faces is the instability around the rate of the dollar.

Charlotte would like to build a permanent house and develop her business.

Finally, she thanks Hekima and their partners for their support to business owners who lack access to banking services.
