A loan helped a member to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Mic Gum Group's story

Florence is a 34-year-old woman who lives in a bricked house with 10 other family members including six children. Florence works as a teacher but struggles with buying cooking fuels. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on charcoal which costs up to 45,000 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Florence and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
