A loan of $125 helped buy two basins of cola nuts and five containers of palm oil.

Vignigbédé's story

Born 5 October 1961 in Allada, in the Department of the Atlantic. Vignigbédé Z. is married and the mother of five children, all having attended (or still attending) school, and of whom four are still under her care. Vignigbédé is a widow who lives alone with her children and is their sole support. She settled some ten years ago in the Dogoudo borough of Allada.

Vignigbédé has never been to school. To meet her needs, she has been selling cola nuts and palm oil for 35 years. She gets her supplies from Dantokpa, Benin’s international market, and from Ayou in Benin, but sells her products in Allada, Houègbo and Sékou, in the Department of the Atlantic.

Vignigbédé has already been granted three loans from ALIDé, all of which have been repaid in full. She is now requesting a fourth loan to increase her stock supply and better meet customer demand.
