The group coordinator is Manuel Antonio S., who is a tailor. He stated that he began five years ago investing a small amount to set up his shop, which has grown thanks to the loans. He will use the present loan to buy fabric and raw materials like: thread, needles, buttons, zippers, etc. in order to fill his orders.

His fellow group members, María G. and Claudia C., have been chicken merchants for several years. They buy chickens at the farms and resell them in the market.

El grupo Lourdes está integrado por tres personas trabajadoras, independientes y luchadoras. El coordinador es el señor Manuel Antonio S. quien es sastre; según comento él hace cinco años con una pequeña cantidad instalo su taller de costura el cual por medio de los préstamos ha ido creciendo.
Actualmente S. invertirá en telas y materia prima como hilos, agujas, botones y zíper entre otros para cumplir con sus compromisos.

Mientras sus compañeras de grupo María G. y Claudia C. se dedican desde hace años al comercio de avícola donde ellas compra en las granjas las gallinas las cuales venden el mercado.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
