A loan helped a member to buy wool in bulk.

Sol De Oro Group's story

Communal bank “Sol de Oro” is part of Agencia Los Andes and has nine members. They're friends and neighbors from the area. It is run by a board of directors and Mrs. Benita is the president.

Benita is 48 years old. She is married and has four children. She currently runs a business that sells woven blankets/shawls. She learned this trade many years ago.

She is requesting this loan to buy capital (wool in bulk) which she will purchase from wholesale sellers in the city of La Paz. She will later make and sell her merchandise in her locale. This type of work allows her to earn resources to support her family economically. She dreams of growing her capital and asks that we trust her communal bank again.

In this group: Carmen Rosa, Miriam, Lilian Isabel, July, Lady Laura, Francisco Edmundo, Benita, Juana, Luis Fernando
