A loan helped a member to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Caroline's Group's story

Carolyne, pictured above, has been a farmer for three years and is now proud to represent her group of 7 farmers in Alego District. She is 30 years old, married, and has four children.

Carolyne likes to think of herself as a very hardworking individual. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2019 and decided to represent her group because she wanted to help more farmers. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has been able to feed her family consistently. Carolyne plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

In total, Carolyne’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 2.75 acres of land.

In this group: Caroline, Marisela, Monica, Peter, Patricia, Anne, Linet
