Akenese's story

Akenese P., 22, of Saletele Fagaloa, a single mother of two children specialises in handicraft production. With assistance from SPBD, she produces a range of handicrafts which include bags, jewellery, and other traditional crafts and this is the main source of income for her and her children.

Akenese has a stand at the Flea Market at Sogi and she is also one of the suppliers for Aggie Grey’s Gift Store and Samoa Pharmacy. Akenese has some good markets for her products and this is evidence of the quality of the handicrafts she makes.
