A loan of $875 helped to buy seeds.

Felicia's story

Felicia, at 55 is the mother of 10 children, but she only lives with one of them, as the others already have their own families. She lives in her own house and what she wants most is to improve her quality of life.

She has managed to get out her crops by working hard. Early every morning she gets up to water and care for the potatoes, peas and corn which are sold in the city of Tarma, where she gets the best prices for her products.

What she likes best about her work is that she can enjoy the freedom of working in the fields. She has been doing this work for 25 years and considers working the land alone to be the hardest part since the death of her husband 10 years ago. Over time, she hopes to prepare the land for planting more peas, since they are the best selling product at this time.

This is the eighth loan for Felicia with MFP. She knows that this loan will help tremendously in advancing and developing her business, that's why she will pay all loan dues on time. She is a very responsible member of her community bank and well liked.

With the twenty-five hundred new soles she will buy more seed for potatoes and peas, to plant this season.
