A loan helped to purchase construction materials to remodel her house.

Manuela's story

Manuela is 37 year old mother who is in a common law marriage and has three children. They live in a community in the Xejuyup village.

She works in the production of maxan leaves (leaves used to wrap tamales). She has been doing so for eight years. She loves being able to contribute to caring for the environment since maxan is an organic wrapping currently in high demand.

Aiming to continue to improve her family's living conditions, Manuela requests a loan and will invest it in the purchase of construction material to build her home.
