Small-Small Group's story

Pictured here are members of the 'Small-Small' group from Magubraka town, in northern Sierra Leone. They are small-scale entrepreneurs who have applied for a loan of SLL 500,000 for each member of the group in order to expand their businesses. Consequently, they can make more sales, better profit and improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Fatmata S. K.. Fatmata was born in Magburaka. She is married and has five children. Fatmata’s husband is a motor mechanic and her children are attending schools – one in secondary school and four in primary school. For eight years now, Fatmata has been selling medicines. With her share of the loan, she will buy Penadol, Chloroquine, ORS, and many different kinds of tablets to add to her pharmacy inventory.
