A loan helped a member to do market gardening.

09_Gpf Manaiang Babacar Gae Group's story

This group of 10 women was created in February 2016.
As they live in the same village, there is a strong social bond between the members. Their main activity is agriculture.

Madame Khady, who is standing on the right side of the photo with a raised hand is the group's representative.
She is 54 years old and widowed. She is also the mother of five boys and four girls.

The borrower does market gardening, and grows onions and yams. With this loan, she plans to buy seeds and take care of all the costs required for successful crops (nursery, replanting and irrigation). The onions that are produced from the crop will be sold to salespeople in Madame Khady's area.

With the profits she makes, the borrower plans to buy animals to fatten, and to meet her family's expenses.

In this group: Khady, Rokhaya , Ndeye , Marie, Rokhaya , Alimata, Fatou , Aicha, Farma, Diaw
