Roger's story

Roger, age 23, is married and has one daughter. He lives in a beautiful valley of the Cuzco region, in an area called “Quimbiri”. He has his own house built of solid material and wood.

Rather than simply offering a service, Roger has the clear goal of using his knowledge and progressing. Currently, he works in his community’s municipality repairing heavy machinery. His work fascinates him and he enjoys it a lot. As a consequence, he gets great emotional, as well as financial, satisfaction from it. That’s why his plans for the future are to open his own mechanical shop and furnish it with the equipment necessary to repair all types of vehicles.

In addition, together with his wife (who appears with him in the photo) he has a fast food stall selling fried snacks. The profits from this also contribute to the family’s upkeep.

This is his third loan with MFP. He promises to pay all his installments on time. He also mentioned that he feels good about the transparency and organization of his communal bank. This time, he will invest the money that he is applying for in the food selling business, buying necessary ingredients at wholesale, with the goal of increasing family income.
