Pedro's story

Pedro, 42, is married and has 2 minor children and one grown child. He lives in the beautiful Cuzqueñan forest, in the town of “Quimbiri," where he has his own house.

Pedro has 25 years of experience working in agriculture, growing coca leaves and coffee, and has a history full of sacrifices and satisfactions. At sowing and harvest times he works with his wife, but he regularly hires laborers to speed up his production. He usually sells his products in the collection center in his area for a good price. In addition to this activity, his wife has a store selling drinks, cookies and sweets in order to save money for the seasons when there is no harvest. In the future, Pedro is thinking of expanding his wife's business, refurbishing the premises and acquiring new equipment and furniture to provide better service to the customers.

This is his 2nd loan with MFP, and he is committed to making his payments on time. In addition, he feels good to be part of a communal bank, where the members all support each other. With the money he now requests he will buy more products for his wife's store and will pay his workers.
