A loan of $600 helped purchase soft drinks, cookies, candies, yogurt, and ice cream.

Feliciana's story

Feliciana is 36 years old. She has four children who still depend on her. She is a responsible mother who's always looking for opportunities to get ahead and with her daily efforts provide her children with a better future.

Feliciana has a little business selling sweets in the bus station in the city of Urubamba. She's had the business for six years and it's gone very well because of her commitment to her work.

Feliciana belongs to the Tercer Milenio village bank, which is part of the Asociación Arariwa. She's been a member for six years, and her first loan was for $100, which she invested in her business. Currently, she is requesting the loan to purchase soft frinks, cookies, candies, yogurt, and ice cream. Her dream is to have her own shop in her home. She tells us sadly that her mother had a house in the city of Zurite, but that because of heavy rain in the city, the house was flooded, leaving her homeless. At the moment, her mother is living in an encampment near the city.

Feliciana is grateful for the opportunity this offers her and is committed to making her payments in full and on time. Zurite is 45 minutes from the city of Cuzco.
