A loan of $700 helped farmland Maintenance.

Elva's story

Elva is 30 years old. She is married and has three school-aged children. She lives in Quimbiri, where she has her own home.

She has been farming since she was very young, specifically coca leaves. She always tries to make her parcel produce a good harvest, now that she has good land for cultivating. Her husband and hired hands help with the planting and harvest. For the most part she sells her harvest in gathering places in her area, at prices that allow her to cover her family expenses. In the future she would like to buy more land in order to continue farming her traditional crop and also begin growing pineapple.

This will be her first loan through MFP and she promises that she will make all of her payments on schedule. She is very happy with her communal bank, because it provides support for her under any circumstance. She will use the money from this loan to provide maintenance on her land to avoid future complications.
