Solecitos Group's story

The name of the Solecitos group comes from the word "Sol" ("Sun") and is because the women are shining like the sun. The members meet weekly to make their payments. This group is located in the municipality of Rancho Grande, Acatlan de Pérez Figueroa Oax. The group consists of 10 members, all of whom are in the photo. They are represented by Nelida A. Rodríguez, who is 25 years old and has two children. She makes a living selling cosmetics and raising pigs, and needs the loan to invest in her activities so she can make headway and give her children a good education and adequate nourishment. Her goal is to raise more pigs and be able to have her own butcher shop, and also expand her cosmetics business more. The other members of the group are: Nelida A. Rodríguez, who also sells cosmetics and raises pigs; Norma P. R., who sells tamales; Flor Ofelia M. P. who sells snacks; Maritza M. P., who also sells snacks; Natalia C. P., who sells gasoline; Antonia C. V., who sells snacks; Paulina Domínguez V., who sells clothing; Margarita Rodríguez Torales, who buys animal feed; Janette A. Rodríguez, who sells snacks; and Judith M. U., who sells groceries.
