A loan helped a member to get bulk supplies of pagnes [traditional clothing] which will strengthen her initial capital.

Generosite Group's story

Julienne is a partner of the Hekima MFI and leader of the supportive group "Generosite" [generosity]. She is a widow, aged 63, and mother of 10 children of which three are in school and seven are already independent.

She is a seller of pagnes [traditional decorated clothing fabric] and founded this business when she got married with the start-up funds received from her late husband. Later, she took support from the Hekima programme, over the course of which she has progressively developed.

With this new loan, she will get supplies of pagnes in bulk, which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge in this work is related tot he economic crisis in the sector.

She would like her children to go to school and to prepare for her old age. Lastly, she wishes to thank Hekima and partners for their support of non-bankable business owners.
