Joaquina Isabel's story

Joaquina is 58 years old and lives in the municipality of Los Palmitos. She’s a humble woman who has had to work very hard to sustain her family. She works raising pigs, an activity she started 12 years ago because she needed to provide for her family.

Joaquina lives in a town that has faced violence for many years, and she has been very protective because she cares for her family and she doesn’t want anything bad happen to them. But thanks to the peace agreement the situation has improved, and she’s very motivated to move forward. She dreams of having a very successful business. She’s asking for a loan to buy more pigs to raise to improve her production.
