Anecita's story

Anecita C. is a 42-year-old woman living in the town of Brgy 9, Isabela, Negros Occidental. She is married and has 5 school-aged children. To make a living, Anecita owns and operates a business venture in the sector of operating a specialized retail store. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from selling animal feed and farm-related products in the local community. Anecita has been engaged in this business for over 14 years and earns approximately 5,000 PHP a month from these activities.

In 1997, Anecita joined NWTF to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Anecita has successfully repaid a previous loan of 19,000 PHP from NWTF. Anecita is now requesting a new loan of 19,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional products to sell. The loan will be her 17th loan taken out from NWTF. Anecita plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay the tuition fees of her children.
