Chen S., aged 42, is married and resides with her three children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia. She stays at home as a housewife to look after her children and do the household chores. Her husband is a soldier for his province, earning an income of USD 3 per day to help cover the family's expenses and the children’s education. Chen S. is requesting a loan of USD 500 to purchase a plot of farmland to start a business as a farmer to generate another source of income for the family. This is her first loan from CREDIT, a Kiva partner.
