A loan of $1,125 helped invest in merchandise for a shop selling typical clothing.

Sonia Verónica's story

Sonia Xicayl is 25 years old and single. She lives with her twin sister. She makes and sells huipils (traditional Guatemalan blouses). She works half time in the community sanatorium as an auxiliary nurse. She always helps the community, lending her services when patients or neighbors ask for them. Sonia is applying for the loan to buy fabric, sashes, and typical blouses so that she can set up a shop of typical clothing and thus be able to have better earnings and the opportunity to have a better life at the side of her sister.
