A loan helped a member to buy a buffalo.

Ang Nua 06 Group's story

Loan, 34, is an ethnic Thai woman who is standing first on the right in the photo. She is married and lives with her father-in-law, her husband and two children in the northwest mountainous area of Vietnam. She has no higher education; after dropping out of secondary school, she became engaged in farming work.

Every day, she and her husband work hard on their farm with various jobs such as growing rice and raising pigs and chickens. To add more income, sometimes her husband goes to work as a temporary worker on a coffee farm. Recently, she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy a buffalo. She hopes that the buffalo will quickly grow up healthy to bring her great profit, which she looks forward to using to continue investing in coffee farming.

Loan dreams of creating a warm and happy family for her children and jumping out of poverty soon.
