Tom's story

Tom is 30 years old. He is married and is blessed with one child who attends school. Since young, Tom has been taught farming by his parents. Now, he grows and harvests rice crops. Tom sells his harvested products in Pursat province of Cambodia, the local market of his region. Through his efforts, he is able to earn a net profit of 5.00 dollars (USD) a day, which is usually spent in buying food and other commodities.

Tom is currently seeking a loan to purchase a motorcycle to help his family members in their transportation needs. Having their own vehicle will allow them to minimize the costs of hiring a motorcycle service. In the future, Tom aims to grow his business and increase the production of rice so that he earns better and takes good care of his family.
