A loan helped a member to buy chickens and ducks.

Noong Het 08 Group's story

Uong is a Thai ethnic woman. She lives with her husband and two children in a small house in a poor village. Her daughter has a mental disability and can't go to school even though she is 14 years old. Uong and her husband have to spend extra time taking care of her. Their income from planting rice and raising fish and three cows is not sufficient, so her family is recognized as a near-poor household by the government. She and her husband have to work very hard to be able to cover living expenses for her family.

She wants to expand her farming, so she took a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy chickens and ducks to increase the number she owns.

She hopes that with the profit from her this loan, she can cover her family's expenses and take her daughter to a big hospital for treatment.
