Mary Glo's Group's story

Mary Glo M. is from the village of Antagan 1st. She is 32 years old. Mary Glo is the group leader of a five-member group loan offered by ASKI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. The official name of this borrowing group is Mary Glo M..

Mary Glo is married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, Mary Glo owns & operates a business raising pigs for fattening and for sale. Mary Glo has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 3,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2010, Mary Glo joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Mary Glo is requesting a new loan of 5,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase piglets to raise & sell in the future. This loan will be the first loan taken out by Mary Glo from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her business.
