A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase headcount of cattle and sales of organic milk.

Tamara's story

Tamara, 64, is married and has a son and a daughter. Tamara has a university degree. She works in a local clinic as a nurse.

As an additional income for her family, she is engaged in animal husbandry. The neighbours say she is a cheerful, honest and hardworking woman. Thanks to her hard work and with her husband’s help, today in her farm there are 2 cows and 20 sheep.

Tamara has an agreement to supply organic milk to a local production plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows Tamara to continuously invest in her agricultural business.

Tamara found that she could get a loan from Bai-Tushum Bank, secured by a contract for future supply to the production plant, within the framework of The Value-added Chain product. Therefore, she has applied for a loan of 100,000 soms (KGS) for the purchase of dairy cows, in order to increase the number of cattle and sales of organic milk. Payments for milk from the plant will be directly transferred to Tamara’s bank account, and loan repayments will be automatically deducted.

The income from the loan will help Tamara to increase the number of livestock, improve her family’s well-being and enable her to build a new barn.
