Kalsoom Akhtar's Group's story

Razia and Safia each want a loan to buy seasonal fruit for their fruit-selling business. Riaz wants a loan to buy wheat for her wheat-selling business.

Kalsoom akhtar is a 38-year-old woman. She has a two-room brick house and has been living in it with her family for the past 25 years. She is the group leader of the afore-mentioned ladies. They all live in a city called Lahore, famous in Pakistan for its historical places and its Punjabi foods.

Her husband's name is M. N. and he has a shoe-selling business. He sells specifically men's shoes in the market. He has been in this business for the past 15 years. Kalsoom has given birth to nine children: seven sons and two daughters. Her eldest son is eighteen years old and runs a cosmetics-selling business. The others are enrolled in school and are getting an education.

As you can see, they have a big family to care for so Kalsoom also offers her services as a seamstress. She sews clothes for her neighbors and earns income. She has been in this profession for the past 10 years. Her neighbors give her orders because of her good stitching. She is applying for a loan to buy cosmetics to expand her son’s cosmetics-selling business.
