Galasia's Group's story

Pictured above is Galasia, who is often described as an extremely reliable person. She is 49 years old and has 7 children. As a group leader, she is representing 10 farmers in Iringa District, Tanzania.

Galasia is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund, as this means that she is able to have access to quality training and acquire new farming methods, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Galasia says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2018, she has learned a lot from farm trainings, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Galasia will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant 8.5 acres. The group will also receive 4 solar lights.

In this group: Galasia, Benjamini, Costantino, Fahamu, Yustina, Nolbert, Eva, Alexanda, Wile, Yustini

This loan is special because:
