A loan helped a member to buy tailoring materials like fabric to increase production and revenue.

Imraa Junub Atlanta Group's story

This group consists of refugees who decided to come together with the goal of economic transformation.

Ginana is a single mother of three children, all of whom are in school. She is grateful to the authorities in Uganda who welcomed her and her entire family to Uganda, which is now their home.

Ginana says that she is now at peace because she is in a stable environment. To provide for her children, she does piggery farming and tailoring to earn income.

With a lot of experience under her belt, she keeps getting orders from clients; however, her challenge is that she has limited income to increase production.

Therefore, Ginana has applied for a loan from UGAFODE to buy additional materials. From this loan, she is certain that her production will increase, which will also enable her to serve her customers even better.

Ginana and her other group members are very grateful to Kiva lenders and UGAFODE for this help that will boost their businesses.

The additional member in the photo is still saving, hoping to take a loan in the next cycle.

In this group: Ginana, Mary , Lucy, Magaret , Amal
