A loan of $625 helped buying electrical wire, light bulbs, DVDs, etc.

François's story

Born in 1976, Mr. D. François has lived for six about years in Tchonvi in the town of Sèmè-Podji, Benin.  He is married and the father of three children, some of whom are in school.  He lives together with his children and wife.  François is the one who covers the bulk of family expenses.

François did not attend school.  For nearly the last twelve years, in order to meet the requirements of his family, he has been buying and selling various electronic products (light bulbs, wiring, TV sets, etc.) out of his home.  He buys his goods from Nigeria, a country neighboring Benin.

This is the first time François is requesting a loan from ALIDé for bolstering his business and coping better with customer demand.
