A loan of $925 helped working capital.

Mayra Rafaela's story

Mayra Rafaela is 51 years old. She is a single mother and has just one son who is 25 years old and lives on his own. Mayra has a business selling general merchandise. She offers products and travels to distribute them, generally through orders. Mayra started her business 30 years ago. She began selling fruits and vegetables. However, little by little, she began saving enough to travel to the oriental market in Managua and buy clothing. It was 3 years ago that she began to sell household appliances by order.

The loan will be invested in purchasing more merchandise in order to take advantage of the festivities around Holy Week that are nearing. Mayra dreams that her business will continue growing so that one day she will be able to leave her grandchildren with a well-established business and that they will not need to depend on a job other than this business to survive.
