A loan of $425 helped increase business funds.

Rouguiyata S.'s story

Madame Rouguiyata S. D. is a married mother of 6. She lives in the town of Ouakam and has been a member of the U-IMCEC credit association for five years; she has already received two loans. Madame D. has been developing her business for twenty years, and is well-known for selling detergent products (Omo), henna, thiouraye (a type of incense) and sometimes fabric; she began by selling shea butter and local products.
Her strategy lies in adapting her product range to her customers' needs. She is seeking a 200 000 FRS loan in order to plan a trip to Mauritania to buy goods; the requested loan would allow her to proceed with her business projects, to meet everyday living costs, and to help her children to get on in life.
