This group formed because of Romelia B.. She found out about the program through her sister, a member of another group. Her sister told her about the positive things she has gotten by the formation of the group of enterprising women. Keeping this in mind, she invited her friends and colleagues from the neighborhood. They decided to join the group work in order to get ahead and improve their lifestyle.

They are 24 hard-working and humble women who work very hard to win their sustenance every day. That way they get their families ahead.

Keeping in mind the great demand there is at the start of the season and the classes, Romelia will use the requested loan to buy merchandise. She will buy things like school and office supplies (notebooks, backpacks, pencil boxes, pencils, file folders, paper). She will buy accessories for school uniforms and other things to increase the stock in her store.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
