Palmier Plus Group's story

Jean Jacques N. is the leader of the 37-member group named “Palmier Plus” which means “Palm tree” in English. The group has formed in order to apply for Kiva loans with the goal of developing their businesses.

Jean Jacques has been part of the micro-enterprise world since 1996. He runs a drugstore in the west of Kinshasa and has acquired solid experience in this area. He works hard with good management skills in order to realize his dream of one day opening a large drugstore in his community. He would also like to achieve financial independence through his business that currently earns him $200 per month. He works to the best of his abilities and uses his contacts to achieve his goals. Mike is a trustworthy client of the MFI HOPE RDC, having received and correctly repaid four loans. He will increase his stock of medicines with his next loan, re-selling them at a profit. Jean Jacques is 39 and married with six children, two of them in school.
